Martial Fusion is a revolutionary, non-profit, hobby company created on April, 10, 1995, and renamed on July 15, 2001, to serve two functions in the martial arts community.  Initially created to provide the finest in homemade AMERICAN KENPO KARATE self-defense equipment, jewelry, clothing, and hand drawn graphics illustrating martial arts history and principles, in new and exciting formats.  All products offered for the lowest possible price for the consumer, with artistic designs created by Perpetual Graphix, our in-house graphic arts staff.  This has been considered and will always be our primary function, and what we enjoy most from our group.
 

        The other function of Martial Fusion is to find or create easy to understand ideas to aid the creation of explosive AMERICAN KENPO KARATE training.  With the massive amount of information available to the KENPO technician, sometimes this eclectic art can seem rather elusive.  No one can argue that SGM Ed Parker, founder of the International Kenpo Karate Association , left all AMERICAN KENPO KARATE  practitioners the information needed to study and make the art their own.  However, some of those concepts and principles can get lost in the translation.  The intention of Martial Fusion is not to change or recreate any of these concepts and principles, but to aid in the retention and understanding of those principles of motion for all practitioners.  Without a good understanding or retention of the principles of motion that make the techniques in the art work, the difficulty involved in using the art proficiently in a live (or in an actual self-defense) situation is increased.  And no matter your reason for studying the art of AMERICAN KENPO KARATE, few people could disagree the application of the art in a live situation is the basis by which the art was established by SGM Ed Parker.
 

       With that said however, Martial Fusion was never intended to function as a studio or training hall.   In the beginning we were just a group of folks who got together backyard like, and trained in this art known as Kenpo.   Eventually we decided to create some cool martial arts stuff, but we didn't want to open a school.  Yet, when we were putting the site together we wanted to teach as well.  So we had an idea.  This idea was to create an on-line training and editorial forum, free from "political" or organizational influence, to learn from within the Martial Fusion circle of sites.  So, after many different alterations of the site, we have founded an idea we truly like.  DRAGON TALES .  Within Dragon Tales you will find training sections covering Empty-Hand, Blunt, and Edged Weapons training sections, and editorials giving reviews and consultation on pretty much everything in the marital arts world.  There are even specific, almost name-brand sections such as Gym Tigris and Kenpo Chi , to center on specific topics of interest.  The purpose of these training sections and editorials are, as always, to promote positive methods of training and learning for self defense, and never to promote violence of any kind .  Now the Dragon Tales site is a separate entity under the direction of one of our founders, so it's gonna get really different really quick.  To learn more about Dragon Tales, press on this text or travel to the site itself.
 

        So with that said, times have changed greatly outside of this group.  We have actually broken down and one of our founders' has created a studio.  After a long hiatus (break) from teaching and taking courses, and a lot of internal focus, a training studio has been founded as the first physical school under the Martial Fusion circle.  The Golden Tempest Kenpo Studio is the product of a lot of martial arts experience and a sheer desire to pass the knowledge on to others.  The studio is affiliated with the American Kenpo Karate International association, founded by Master of the Arts Paul Mills, and for obvious reasons utilizes equipment from Martial Fusion.  The studio, like Martial Fusion and Dragon Tales, is slightly different then the conventional wisdom within martial arts studio concepts.  For one, it is a private studio and not geared to be economically productive as much as quality oriented.  More importantly, there are teaching and technical plans for all levels of student growth from not only an empty-hand perspective, but also a man-made weapons training perspective as well.  From the Student Training Enhancement Program to the Sophisticated Motion Arsenal Retention Training course utilizing the AKKI Universal Weapons System , our goal is to train the student to be the best they can be.
